It starts a with cold black world
It Starts with a tale of love
It starts with dreams from above
It leads into a tale of deceit
It leaves a soul very weak
It pokes at a man not a boy
And rips him away from his joy
It leaves a girl far behind
And there she stays
Stuck in time...
This is a tale that is true
This is the story of me, and you
You were always on his mind
Even when you weren't there
He never wanted to leave you behind
But all he could do is stare
Stare at what he was becoming
The beast was ready to take place
He didn't want you to see
He wouldn't let you judge his face
He was moving at a pace
That would lead him to despair
He was losing the race
And he was sad that you weren't there
But he wanted you so
But he knew it wouldn't work
So he kept it all inside
And things began to hurt...
Walls started to crumble
Holes started to fill
The darkness was taking over
He began to feel ill
Sick with the feelings of confusion
Diseased with the plague of pain
He started to lose it
All he felt was shame
This was a game you see
No rules, no ref
He started to lose tears
This pain would be his death....
But....
He decided to open his eyes
And in his wake
He found a doll
He saw tears in her eyes
And to her form, he began to crawl
He saw that she was hurt
He could feel similar pain
He could tell from her voice
That she was borderline insane
He welcomed this doll
And tried to make her his
But she found another one day
She left him on the bridge
The bride of mutuality
The bridge of desire
He was angry at this doll
So to the bridge he set fire
There was no place to run on the other side
so he left the doll in smoke
He didn't even look back that day
The last thing he heard was her choke
So he began to crawl again
The sky was too low for him to stride
So into the darkness he kept crawling
And those following days
He thought he'd die
The days went on still
And everyday he became dull
All he saw was darkness
It was embedded into his skull
It was locked in his mind
It was what passed his time
It was what all he devoured
It tortured him for hours
He was walking a path blind
Trying to find a new bridge
There were other souls he found
But from them
He just hid
He didn't want to find himself
He just wanted to fade in peace
But he heard a call one day
And he didn't feel so weak
What was this sensation
It was like he had finally been found
But he was down in the dirt
He had his face in the ground
Who would search for such a sad soul
Who would waste their time on the weak
But further he moved
And he began to hear a creak
It was another bridge this time
One filled with Ash and smoke
He could barely breathe in the area
And then he began to choke
He thought of the doll that he left
Maybe this was his end
But out of the ash he was pulled
This feeling was familiar
The touch of a friend..
He looked up
With what strength he had left
And the being he saw
Made him lose his breath...
He couldn't believe who it was
He knew from those eyes
Something inside him began to melt
And his crawl became a stride
He started to wipe the dirt off his face
And he turned away in disgrace
He never wanted her to know
He still couldn't meet her face
He wanted to keep this life a secret
He never wanted her involved
But she looked at him and smiled
And all the pain began to dissolve
He was starting to feel warm
He was understanding this feel
He still won't say it till this day
But he no longer feels ill
The ground is now below him
He no longer treads the dirt as a home
He now walks strong
He now feels he must roam
The sky is so much higher
He can see the sun again And together
With her
A new chapter begins
He knows there is nothing he could offer
to show his appreciation
All he can do
Is show her his destination
He doesn't even know where it is
Hes still looking till this day
But he hopes that she'll accompany
And that she'll always stay
