Story Call for a Phantasmagorical fantasy Anthology
Elven, Dwarven, Orc or Mage. Fae and Seelie leap off the page. Poems, sagas, epics too, this is what we ask of you. With parchment and quill in hand, take us to your mythic land. Build a world ethereal and fair and bring it to us so we can share, an anthology for us to build, helping us the lily gild.
Please do not use or reference stories, characters etc that are already established and/or property of someone else, and DEFINITELY NOT copyrighted materials. We are looking for original work with original characters and plot should be original as well. Please, NO fan fiction. Please keep stories relatively clean as we are looking to make this available to all ages. Therefore in keeping with the Codes of Chivalry, profanity, gratuitous violence, sexual themes and the like will be deemed as unsuitable for this work.
This is going to call for a high level of skill to keep your story fast paced and interesting without falling back on those particular crutches to carry the plot along. We are looking forward to some high quality, entertaining reading. . We are looking for short stories between 2500 and 8000 words. Any submission with EXCESSIVE formatting, spelling, grammatical or editing issues will be disqualified as soon as the errors are evident.
Submission Guidelines are as follows:
GUIDELINES
Theme: Fantasy (one or all)
Story Word Count: 2,500 minimum – 8,000 maximum, (not including information for cover page)
Authors Biography: 250 maximum words
Story Synopsis: 350 maximum words
File Format: Microsoft Word document (either .doc or .docx) or rtf only. Submissions may also be sent in the body of an e-mail.
Submission Limit: Five stories per author. If you are submitting more than one story, please submit each story as a separate submission or e-mail.
Payment: $25.00, plus digital and trade paperback copy upon distribution. Payment will be made upon selection. Royalty payment will be confirmed after the numbers of submitted stories are determined.
Selected stories will appear in New Legends: Fantasy Anthology, while some may appear on our website or blog.
Art and Photography: Unlimited submission limit. We are looking for art and photography that captures the theme Fantasy Anthology (one or all) to be used.
Artwork and photographs submitted must be saved in high-resolution format (300 dpi or higher) and saved as a jpg/jpeg file. Be sure to supply the title of the piece, the artist/photographer name, the medium used in creation, and the dimensions of the original piece.

These characters should be characters that would fit within the fantasy genre. For example characters can have magical powers, animals talk and some have human characteristics. Your characters can be mythical and or mystical beings. They live in an imaginary universe set in a medieval or fantastical world. Characters are typically on a quest or a journey, and rules in their world go outside the norm of our world.
