My thoughts wondered off as I was looking at the World Building section.

TOPIC: "Whats the Special"... Great stuff from Muse and mmcgriff... Stews / Soups; Pies; Bread; Wines; Cheese; ... then Apple Pie was mentioned... that is when my mind wondered to Legend. Pies... Apples... don't ask me how, but brain saw the wood elf being captured from the little hay filled cell by the "cook"; Una beatching after being busted by Jack; Una gets the keys.. and THERE HE IS poppin out of that huge Pot-Pie! Apple in mouth; herb sprigs falling off around him... THAT is WHEN my thoughts went to this...

PRINCE of DARKNESS Wood Elf Pot-Pie
(4) Whole Onions
(6) Whole Carrots
(8) Potatoes - halved; leave skin on
(5) Apples; Set (1) Apple aside for garnish
(4) In Season Squash - leave skin on; cut in half length wise, gut seeds
(4) Live White Doves - do NOT pluck feathers
(3) Fistfuls of Each Tied separately with Sinew:
Fresh Lavender, Rosemary, Thyme, and Tarragon Sprigs
(1) Live Wood Elf; Whole with clothes on

- Homemade Flaky Pie Dough (See Base Recipe)

Prepare Wood Elf
Tie Wood Elf with Sinew; Garnish with (1) Apple in Mouth and (1) of each sprig under arms and under knotted sinew

Divide Flaky Pie Dough in Half; Roll (1) Half of dough 1/4' thick, set remaining dough aside; Line XL Oval Loaf Pan with half of the pie dough; Cover bottom loaf pan with HALF of the FIRST SEVEN ingredients; Place Wood Elf in Loaf Pan; Place remaining ingredients over Wood Elf; Roll remaining dough 1/4" thick and cover Wood Elf Mixture; Pinch edges; Vent pie with *3 diagonal slashes, top center of pie; Bake uncovered in 4XL Rock-lined Fire Place, 3 feet above flames; For every 20 minutes, turn pie a quarter turn; Bake until edges are golden brown.

Wood Elf Pie served best with Portabella Mushrooms stuffed with minced quail with seasoned bread crumbs topped lightly with Goat Cheese, Fennel Lavender Fairy Stew and 3Lamb Blood-Berry Wine.

Feeding the Minions
Goblin Mermaid Soup

Unicorn Under the Lemon Yellow Sky
22lbs Unicorn Fillets - slice 1/8'
85 Lemons
19 Pearl Onions - sliced very thin
13 Fresh Parsley Bunches - squish to release flavors
6 Loaves Dark Grain Bead - Thickly sliced

Zest 16/58 lemons into a large bowl; squeeze lemon juice into the bowl; Add Peal Onions and Parsley; Whisk Lemon Mixture; Set aside; *Slice Unicorn fillets 1/8'; Add Unicorn slices into lemon mixture; Let the fillets rest until meat turns a warm **chestnut color. Toss and Serve with toasted dark grain bread.

*Slice Unicorn meat only when ready to place immediately into lemon mixture for utmost freshness!

**If the Unicorn meat turns white, it is beyond eatable - throw out and make again from scratch.

Neptune's Dying Heart
Combine the following (7) ingredients in a gigantic mixing bowl and set aside
18 Dungeons Crabs - remove meat
16 Pounds XL Large Shrimp - peeled and de-veined
8 Cups Seasoned Bread Crumbs
6 Cup Freshly Graded Parmigiana Cheese
7 Cups Fresh Spinach - cut into slivers, lengthwise
5 Cups Pearl Onions - whole
3 Garlic Bulbs - Pressed

1 Freshly caught Mermaid; remove, scale and gut tail; *KEEP FINS and TAIL INTACT; Set top portion aside for Goblin Mermaid Soup

14 Pounds of Philladough - Paper thin; reserve 2lbs of dough for presentation
Some water

Take the Crab Mixture and stuff Mermaid Tail; place stuffed tail in the center of Philladough; then carefully wrap stuffed tail with Philladough; wet edges as you wrap tail to secure as you go; flip over wrapped tail and placed folded side down on to a baking sheet prepared with fish oil. With remaining dough, form a Triton Piercing a Heart Shape and secure it in the center of the wrapped tail with water.

Bake uncovered in Stone Lined Fire Place until the dough turns a light golden brown.

* DARK LORD enjoys the delicate Fins and Tails, knowing this Mermaid did not get away causing great mental anguish on Triton himself!

Goblin Mermaid Soup
Place top portion of mermaid in boiling water with 2 onions sliced thin; 4 potatoes quartered; 1/2 handful dried Thyme and Savory. To add more flavor without using more ingredients, tightly pinch herbs when adding to soup. Stir and simmer over open flame until meat falls off the bone.

Serving Size: 1 Cup per Goblin

Thought of the Unicorn Under the Lemon Yellow Sun; when in Battle the Romans would 'cook' their meat in lemon on the battle field as to not let smoke give them away or just because it an easy way to cook out in the field.

Even though I love LOVE mermaids and unicorns... this was a fun exercise!

With 'Neptune's Dying Heart' being one of Dark Lord's favorites...
which I thought of seeing how Palm Friday just past and my mom would make something similar except she used Red Snapper, not a Mermaid tail!

Not too savvy on crab dishes... that is pretty much throw them in a boiling pot, throw some bay and cayenne spice, some corn, potato, carrots, shrimp... there you go... you could have a wee harlot or two to stir the pot. (those sassy little BeeAtches are always stirring up something - door those hussies!)

Grubs Stuffed with Pixie Magic

You Will Need...

25 Fresh Grubs

16oz *Pixie Paste

Fist Full of almonds

Fist full of White Moth Wing Powder

You will need to...
Chop almonds and mix with Pixie Paste (set aside); Cut and gut each grub, lengthwise down the middle. (do not cut in half) stuff each grub with Pixie Paste mixture and close grubs with the pixie mixture in it and place on wax paper. Sift white moth wing powder over each grub, then place on a decorative plate and serve.

Helpful Hints:
- You can pickup a tube of *Pixie Paste in your local Goblin Market
- Coat your hands and fingers with a lil bit of White Moth Powder so the Pixie paste doesn't stick to your hands

Is it good? How dyu cook it? what kind of menu do you have it on? How do you serve it?
