Everyone is affected by self esteem, for good or for bad in some way, shape or form.
Is my writing or artwork good enough? Is anyone going to like what I do? Am I good enough?
Nearly everyone has asked themselves that question at some point or another. The idea of putting our creations out there for others to see and (possibly) criticize is enough to send some peoples self esteem cringing into a dark hole somewhere.
But then there are those who already have low or no self esteem....those who write, draw and create to help themselves heal from past hurts, traumas, or evils that have befallen them.
For both of these groups havens are needed to nuture the creative spirit and to help each on the way to healing, or just becoming a stronger more self confident author, artist or person.
Visual Adjectives provides the creative haven to coax the growth of the writer and artist. I know of a place to help heal the hurts. A very kind and concerned person established a site with a basic similar premise to Visual Adjectives....basically to help others, free of charge.
Its called Womensselfesteem.com. She has graciously agreed to look Visual Adjectives over and let those who come to her site know about it, because, as she says "There are far to few resources out there for women"
Hopefully this will mean that the Visual Adjectives member family will grow, with new authors and artists...seeking to find the guidance and comradeship to help them achieve their goals. And ultimately help them heal. And all just by doing what it is that is already being done here.
Its nice to know that the dreams we possess and the inspiration we seek, can inspire the dreams of others.
