This sort of the experimental format of story writing I've been working on for my current project. First I write prose, and then on the bottom, are artist instruction on one way to go about drawing it. For example:
My name is Silhouette Man. I feel around twenty eight, although you might not expect due to all the stress my body has been through over the past week.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. So make the sprite (Or person) look like a long black haired silhouette.
Aspect 2. Some picture that indicates that the character looks slightly aged beyond their years.
I am a person who is a mix of every race, just like everyone else that live, or rather lived in my hometown, and my height is fairly unusual, compared to the huge animal creatures that roam the burnt wild, about one block high.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. Indicate with hints, the kind of world he lived in when he was little, but don't give to much away.
Aspect 2. Make it evident that his height hasn't changed much since he was 15. (See Homeworld Reference.)
I have lost a good bit of weight since I have come here, though to tell you a weight I would need a scale, and of coarse I do not have such a luxury right now. I stared into the burnt forest with my deep red eyes, and hobbled over to the edge of the crator.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. Pay particular attention to the character being dangerously thin, due to having to survive on the food rations from town to town.
My knee burnt with a lingering sting, I'll have to first a first aid kit later. In the past, I would of said that I wanted to become an engineer for military weapons. However interestingly if you actually got such a job, you might regret wishing for it.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. A picture that indicates that the characters knee is injured from the car accident.
Aspect 2. And then another of him flashing back to when he liked to tinker with things on his childhood desk, though don't fully reveal what he liked tinkering with.
Aspect 3. And then another flashback panel hinting at his government scientist job.
They always say you should have good self confidence, so I would say I am a survivor. You got to have a good bit, if you want to live in this world. Along the road, I saw a deer walk across the path of the burnt forest. Its skinned look infected, and it starred at me with a blank face.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. Indicate him walking along the path of a burnet forest road.
Aspect 2. And then in the next pictures, show moment by moment shots of the deer walking by him, and then starring at his face, blankly.
Aspect 3. Linger for a bit on the deers eyes.
Although I was never raised with a belief in a god, there was no better time than the present for a miracle of some sort. Though I realize the only miracle would come from my own efforts. So I walked on.
Artist Instructions:
Aspect 1. A picture of the sky, and then in the next panel erupting in a storm.
Aspect 2. Finally the next pictures show rain dropping on the mans shirt, and burning through it.
[/End Scene One]
Anyway, I'll probably have the first chapter since the expanded story in about a week or two. Story has sort of evolved from a survival horror, to a cyberpunk story with horror elements. I'll introduce a new gang in this dystopic world, simply referred to as Proxy for now.
