It took so very long to realize the thing that I’d done

But obviously, you did not
Because I in turn lost my head
Other kisses felt like offenses
Other touches felt like assaults
Other guys’ tired lines smelled of manure
So I left countless corpses in my wake
They could not have my heart
But my body was on loan
Though when the deed was done
I began to hate
I wonder my love

You know I am an emotional creature

Yes my childhood sweetheart. We met when we were 9 years old. We have a son together. Due to many issues that were beyond our control we could not be together back then. But I never stopped loving that man. And now here he is again after 15 years. I just hope that this is a love that builds and not destroys.
